Tip: Workplace ergonomics - proper arrangement of the work surface

According to scientific studies, it has been proven that an ergonomically arranged workplace has a positive effect on worker performance, reduces the incidence of accidents and generally contributes to greater work efficiency. How should the area of such a workplace be laid out and how can it facilitate the work of workers?

Basic work zones

When assembling the workplace and arranging the tools, you first need to keep in mind the layout of the work zones. The workplace can be divided into 4 zones, the distance of which from the operator can change depending on the physical disposition of the worker. Zone 1 should provide a sufficiently spacious work surface within immediate reach. While zone 2 should be within comfortable reach for both hands, zone 3 should allow easy reach with at least one hand. In zone 3, for example, the most frequently used tools can be placed, which can be attached to the side perforated panel using tool holders. It is also advisable to place plastic boxes with components used for assembly in this zone. Zone 4 is then the farthest zone and should serve mainly as a storage area. This includes, for example, a perforated panel with tool holders for a clear and at first glance visible storage of tools.

Perforated panels and workbench extensions

Perforated panels are used for maximum clear storage of tools and materials, which can easily be supplemented with a hanging program containing holders for tools and boxes, hooks of various sizes or magnetic strips. If you prefer to store tools and materials in a closable and lockable space, then a cabinet structure with a roller shutter is the ideal solution. The base of the cabinet superstructure is 1000 or 1500 mm wide plinths, on which roller shutter cabinets can be placed. The stands can be equipped with a perforated panel including accessories such as a shelf, hanging system or lighting. The shutter cabinet is also equipped with a perforated back wall.

Use of side arms

By using the side arms for the monitor and the arms for attaching the perforated panel and other holders on the sides of the workplace, maximum use of space can be achieved. Clear storage of all necessary tools and materials in reach zones will save workers time, make their work processes more efficient and thus increase overall work productivity. The load capacity of the side arms is 30 or 10 kg.
