Hanging hooks for additional securing against the ladder moving away from the support surface - they are not used for hanging the ladder. The type of hook varies according to the type of ladder it is to be used on. For use only on SINGLE PIECE ladders of the Forte and Eurostyle series. Installation instructions here.
Safety hooks are useful if you need to additionally secure the upper support part of a one-piece ladder by hooking it against an ev. moving away from the support surface. However, the lower part of the ladder as such must still stand on a solid floor, it is not allowed to climb on a ladder that is only loosely suspended! In the case of using a ladder to climb to a higher level, the hooks are fixed 1.1 m measured vertically from the upper end of the ladder.
